The Importance of Training Your Legs
When I first started training, I had every intention of working on my legs. But as soon as I stepped into the gym, my plans would change. Instead of leg day, I’d find myself training chest or biceps for the third time that week. Why? Because leg training was hard. I could easily cover up my legs with trousers, and my ego was more focused on building a big chest and arms to impress the ladies. Looking back, I cringe at how ignorant I was.
What I didn’t understand at the time is that training your legs doesn’t just build your lower body—it contributes to the overall growth of your entire physique. Leg day triggers a release of growth hormones, helping you build size and strength across all muscle groups. But no one told me this back then, so I stayed stuck in my comfort zone, avoiding the challenge of leg day and stunting my progress in the process.
I learned the hard way, and that’s why I’m writing this—to help you avoid my mistakes. You MUST train your legs. Prioritize leg days like your gains depend on it—because they do. Think about it: you wouldn’t build a house without a solid foundation, so why would you build a physique without strong legs?
Learn from my ignorance. Train smart. Train hard. And most importantly, train your damn legs.
